At De Eden, we specialize in making handmade skincare products, like face masks, body butter, face washes, shampoos, conditioners & lotions, and other personal care products. Our philosophy is bringing what is best in nature and lab into our products. Not all natural is safe and not all lab-created is harmful.

What makes us different from others?

 

We avoid doing business on fearmongering by mentioning chemicals are bad and harsh on the skin. When we started making products keeping in mind our products should be 100% natural. We slowly realize it is impossible to add 100% natural ingredients to the products. For Example, Oil and water do not mix naturally to create a cream or lotion. We need a lab-created emulsifier to mix them to create a cream or lotion. Another example is some people like a lot of foaming face wash or body wash. Which can clean the dirt inside our pores of the skin. There are no natural ingredients in nature to do that work. So we use lab-created surfactants. Soaps cannot be made without Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) or Potassium Hydroxide (KOH). These two chemicals are responsible to convert natural oils to soap. Even so, called "100% Natural or Organic Soap" using liquid castile soap contains NaOH or KOH. There is always a limitation to use an ingredient. If we use it as per the limit it is not harmful to our skin. We use a maximum of our ingredients that are nature-derived and nature-identical (having the same chemical structure as the natural ingredient).

We pledge to be cruelty-free and vegetarian. We believe that animals should not suffer and die to test cosmetics or cosmetic ingredients. We, therefore, avoid doing business with companies that make animals suffer for their products or supporting corporations that abuse animals.
